Founder and Principal Sara Armet created MANTIS from a lifelong passion for retail. With two decades of experience, including roles at Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman, she later pivoted to entrepreneurship and commercial real estate.
As a retail leasing advisor in Manhattan, Armet carved out a niche in fashion districts, specializing in landlord representation of architecturally significant properties. She has played a pivotal role in high profile deals, including Breitling at 875 Washington Street and Dolce&Gabbana at 695 Madison Avenue. Her tenant representation roster includes Renna, Flabelus, and Kemo Sabe, among others.
A seasoned brand builder, Armet also founded Lady & the Chocolate—a fashion-inspired chocolate brand featured in TIME and sold at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. A longtime resident of the Upper East Side, Armet dedicates her free time to charitable causes.
