Founder and Principal Sara Armet created MANTIS from a lifelong passion for retail. With two decades of experience, including roles at Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman, she later pivoted to entrepreneurship and commercial real estate.

As a retail leasing advisor in Manhattan, Armet carved out a niche within premier fashion districts, specializing in landlord representation of architecturally significant properties. She has advised institutional owners including RFR, Tahl Propp Equities, Kushner, and J. Safra Real Estate, and has played a pivotal role in high-profile transactions such as Breitling at 875 Washington Street and Dolce&Gabbana at 695 Madison Avenue. Her tenant representation roster includes Renna, Flabelus, and Kemo Sabe, among others.

A seasoned brand builder, Armet also founded Lady & the Chocolate—a fashion-inspired chocolate brand featured in TIME and sold at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. A longtime resident of the Upper East Side, Armet dedicates her free time to charitable causes and currently serves on the boards of Style Across the Aisle and Chabad Young Professionals.
