PLACEMAKING & POP-UPS

69 Gansevoort Street, Meatpacking District, NYC, September 2024

Once a cultural hub for personal and artistic expression, the former Florent diner at 69 Gansevoort Street sat vacant for five years.

Aspen-based Kemo Sabe sought its first East Coast brick-and-mortar with the traveling Kemo Sabe Road House. Armet worked with Kemo Sabe to engage local artists, designers, and community members, scheduling a calendar of events that included trunk shows and cocktail parties.

The NYFW finale featured a Texas takeover with a street closure and cutting demonstration by Bella Hadid and Teton Ridge, garnering international press, including in WWD.

In 2024, Holiday on Madison, founded by Alexandra Mack, activated a prime Madison Avenue space, with Armet leading negotiations to bring in 68 designers and artisans. A full-frontage art installation and window display drew Upper East Siders and tourists, with the unveiling attracting a global guest list and coverage in Vogue.

Building on that momentum, MANTIS secured a design-forward pop-up at 804 Madison Avenue for its fifth annual showcase in 2025, featuring vendors such as Giberto Venezia, Rosa Frauenschuh, and Kinderbrook Home. Curated trunk shows and experiential programming highlighted the rise of next-generation retail on New York’s most storied luxury avenue, proving how short-term tenancy can drive visibility and lasting impact.

“No Purchase Necessary" by Jojo Anavim

875 Washington Street, Meatpacking District, NYC, June 2022

Representing ownership, Armet secured New York pop artist Jojo Anavim for an unconventional gallery space to debut his summer 2022 exhibition.

Partnering with furniture designer Lazzoni to create a lounge-like, modern aesthetic, “No Purchase Necessary” invited community and collectors into a nostalgic world of play— incorporating themes of cereal, ice cream, and “the good life.”

Located in immediate proximity to The Whitney, The High Line, and Little Island, the activation attracted both tourists and locals, and was featured in Forbes.

Building on the success of its inaugural event at Gracie Mansion, Armet serves as a Founding Board Member of Style Across the Aisle, a first-of-its-kind bipartisan fashion show pairing elected officials with local designers. Working closely with Founder Skye Ostreicher, Surrogate’s Court in Lower Manhattan was transformed into a celebratory runway, reinforcing the mission of uniting fashion, culture, and civic space to spark meaningful dialogue.

The event drew cultural leaders including Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell and New York Fashion Week founder Fern Mallis, and featured memorable runway moments—from former Governor David Paterson breakdancing to former Governor Andrew Cuomo debuting custom, New York–inspired suiting. The evening received widespread media coverage, including The New York Times, New York Magazine, and The New Yorker.
